Turnstyle have provided a specialist freehand and copy lathe service to our many clients for over thirty years. Previously trading as Barnard & Padmore and more recently as Turnstyle, we have undertaken to bring our expertise and care to every project, both big or small, whether commercial or retail. We have always been based in Melton Mowbray, and have now been at our present workshop location, within the renovated stable block to the rear of the historic Wicklow Lodge, since 2014.
We cater for all types of bespoke turning from traditional to contemporary, from door knobs to four-poster bedposts, and spindles to newel posts. Our machines have a turning capacity up to two metres in length and 250mm in diameter, and the faceplates can cope with turnings upto 900mm.
Turnstyle supplies components to suit the requirements of our wide range of clients, including:
- Cross & Sansam Ltd (Shepshed, Leicestershire)
- Philip Dowse Interiors (Syston)
- Jeld-Wen UK (Melton Mowbray)
